As the world becomes increasingly more connected, there's been a rise in translation solutions. Whether it's Google Translate or Word Lens, there is an ever-growing need to understand and be understood, no matter what your native tongue is. There are plenty of extensions you can add to your computer that can translate text on-the-fly, but what about your phone?

Up until now, you had to copy text from one app to another in order to translate it, but with the introduction of Inapp Translator by MedCV, you can now translate within any app. Inapp Translator can translate any text that is in your Android device's clipboard, so any app that supports text copying will be able to be translated.

Step 1: Install Inapp Translator

Inapp Translator can be installed right from Google Play, so open up the Play Store app and download it.

After tapping it, you will see an overlay icon with the same symbol hovering over your screen. You can move the icon by holding and moving it, and it can be dismissed by pressing and holding it for a couple of seconds.

Step 3: Translate Text

To translate text, all you have to do is select it, copy it, then tap the T icon. You will need to have an active internet connection for this to work, since it utilizes Microsoft's Translator to do the translating.

To dismiss the popup, press the X icon on the top right of the box.

There may be other alternatives to Inapp Translator, but you'd be hard pressed to fine one as lightweight or as quick, well that is until Babel Fish becomes a real thing.

There is a premium version available as an in-app purchase, but it's only necessary to remove ads, or if you need a high volume of translations, and you need a Microsoft account to activate it since it uses Microsoft Translator. In a future update, they plan to add Google Translator, which makes more sense for an Android device.
