YouTube makes money hand over fist every year selling ad space to companies, but unless you're reaping those benefits, they can be pretty annoying. Luckily, there is a simple way to get rid them on your rooted HTC One with Xposed and YouTube AdAway.

YouTube AdAway is an Xposed Module created by Mohamed Karami, aka Wanam, that gets rid of YouTube ads and branding overlays. Because the mod utilizes the Xposed Framework to run, you will need to have your HTC One rooted with Unknown sources enabled.

Step 1: Install YouTube AdAway

You can download YouTube AdAway directly from Xposed Installer by tapping Download, selecting YouTube AdAway, and then tapping Download.

YouTube AdAway is now installed, but you will need to activate it and reboot first for it to work.

Step 2: Activate YouTube AdAway

Go back into Xposed Installer, tap on Modules, and make sure YouTube AdAway is checked.

After you check the box, Reboot your phone.

Step 3: Watch Ad-Free YouTube

Now when you watch videos through the official YouTube app, you'll no longer have to sit through ads or logos. Keep in mind that this does not work with the YouTube mobile site, so you have to use the YouTube app.

I've been using this module for a few days and it has worked for every video I've thrown at it. Give a shot and enjoy your streamlined YouTube experience.
